This basic seminar will discuss the importance of insurance to the development of our society, economy, and stability of the family unit. It will review the history of basic insurance principles, which allows everyone to handle the risks faced in daily life. Topics include protection against catastrophes; direct and indirect economic ramifications in society; and the need for all to be aware of the need for insurance in our daily lives. This basic ethics seminar takes a comprehensive look at ethics and professionalism concepts, as they apply to the entire insurance transaction and claim settlement process. This course provides specific, practical recommendations for practicing good faith based on an individual’s system of ethics, values, and morals in everyday decision-making situations.
