Back in Feb of 2019, we got a call about frozen pipes causing water damage to a home. At the time, the home was vacant when the pipe burst and was running for two weeks before it was noticed. Once the water was shut off, we came in and assessed the situation. A majority of the time, we are able to extract the water and dry it out but with the water running for so long, we weren’t able to follow normal procedure. We needed to remove many of the building materials in the home since the majority of them were unsalvageable, because they sat wet for so long.
